Project

 ”I WISH TOMORROW” is a participatory art project grounded in the idea that the act of wishing for the future is a fundamental human impulse, an expression of our innate longing for possibility and imagined alternatives to reality. The work engages with universal traditions of wish-making as a form of collective introspection and public dialogue, rooted in local contexts.

The physical installation acts as a temporary monument in space and time, inviting transcultural understanding and empathy.

Participation is anonymous and open in any language. All collected wishes will become part of the installation in the form of a light display.

The project was created in response to the "Earlier, Later" theme of the 2023 Noorderlicht Parade, in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and the Antwerp North community.
